On 20-24 February, Diederik Meijer (Leiden University) and Jesper Eidem (NINO) organised the ARCANE Interregional Meeting "The Euphrates Connection".
The meeting was part of the Associated Regional Chronologies for the Ancient Near East and the Eastern Mediterranean (ARCANE) Project. This project envisages to produce a reliable relative and absolute chronology of the entire Near East based on the synchronization of regional chronologies for the third millennium BC. The results are published with Brepols Publishers in a dedicated series.
