Funding instruments

NINO offers a variety of fellowships, grants, and prizes, in support of researchers and students working on the ancient Near East (incl. Egypt) in the Netherlands and abroad. This section of our website gives an overview of our available funding opportunities, as well as our annual events.

Calls for applications are announced on the NINO website and NINO’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter).

Academic Committee

Funding applications are reviewed by our Academic Committee, a dedicated search committee (postdoc positions) or jury (Thesis Prizes, Jaarprijs Cuijpers-Opdenakker), and/or the Director of the NINO Research Centre.
